BRP is selling its Alumacraft fishing boat assets as the maker of Sea-doo and Ski-doo recreational vehicles tightens its focus on its core power sports businesses and exits the marine segment.

The Canadian company said Tuesday it reached a definitive agreement to sell the assets based in St. Peter, Minn., to family-owned Bryton Marine. Financial details of the deal weren't disclosed.

The deal is expected to close by the end of BRP's fiscal first quarter.

The Valcourt, Quebec, company last year began a process to sell brands including Alumacraft, Manitou pontoon boats and Australian boatmaker Telwater, as well as marine parts, accessories and apparel. At the time, BRP said a challenging economic backdrop had prompted the decision to focus on year-round powersports products, seasonal products, parts, accessories and apparel, as well as its engine-manufacturing business.

Late Monday, BRP said it has struck a deal to sell all outstanding shares of Telwater to an Australian arm of Yamaha Motor. Telwater's brands include Quintrex, Stacer and Savage. BRP expects the transaction will be completed in the second quarter of fiscal 2026.
