General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin Urged to Reject Shareholder Proposals Described as Anti-Israel

General Dynamics (GD) and Lockheed Martin (LMT) shareholders were urged by JLens, sponsor of JLens 500 Jewish Advocacy US ETF, and the Anti-Defamation League to reject shareholder proposals to audit the human rights impact of their weapons sales.

JLens said that both a proposal submitted for General Dynamics shareholders to vote on at a May 7 meeting calling for a Human Rights Impact Assessment and another submitted to Lockheed Martin to assess the "alignment of its political activities with its human rights policy" on May 9 "were designed to pressure the companies into severing ties with Israel."

Both companies are JLens 500 portfolio companies, JLens said.

The boards of both General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin have urged shareholders to vote against the proposals, JLens said.
