Stantec (STN) said Tuesday it has acquired Ryan Hanley, an engineering and environmental consultancy in Ireland.

The company said the acquisition will provide local knowledge, relationships, and technical expertise to Stantec, especially in the Irish water sector.

Stantec said Ryan Hanley has been its local partner since 2020 as part of a joint venture providing engineering design services to Ireland's Uisce Eireann.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Shares of Stantec were up 2.9% in recent premarket activity.
