Yeti Begins Raising Prices to Tackle Tariffs, Baird Says -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
04-12

1406 ET - Tariffs could create a $100 million headwind for Yeti, which Baird analysts estimate imports more than 95% of its coolers and insulated drinkwares from countries including China, Vietnam and Mexico. The company has already raised prices the analysts say in a research note, citing recent website checks that show higher costs for 14 items, or about 12% of Yeti's core product line. But rather than increasing prices across the board, the analysts say they expect targeted hikes coupled with other mitigation measures, such as cost sharing with suppliers. Baird maintains the stock's outperform rating but lowers its price target $10, to $40. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
