Westpac says it proposed increasing the bonus of a risk executive who flagged fraud issues with mortgage broker subsidiary RAMS Home Loans, contrary to her claims that she lost money and was cast out as a troublemaker.
Westpac increased Samantha Aitken’s bonus by 25 per cent in 2023, something that was first proposed by former consumer and business banking head Chris de Bruin, according to documents filed by the bank with the Federal Court.
