Goldman Sachs (GS) and KKR (KKR) backed cryptocurrency firm Anchorage Digital Bank is under investigation by the US Department of Homeland Security's El Dorado Task Force, an anti-money laundering group, Barron's reported Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The task force has reportedly contacted former Anchorage employees to inquire about the company's practices and policies.
The nature of the investigation remains unclear, according to the report.
Anchorage Digital did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
