Tesla Suspends Shipments of Components for Anticipated Models Following Tariffs, Says Reuters

--Tesla's plans to ship components from China for certain model vehicles in the U.S. were suspended after President Trump raised tariffs on Chinese goods, said Reuters, citing a person with direct knowledge.

--The move could disrupt the electric vehicle maker's plans to start mass production of the Cybercab and Semi electric trucks, according to the report.

--Tesla was ready to absorb the additional costs when Trump imposed the 34% tariff on Chinese goods but couldn't do so when the tariff went beyond that, said Reuters.

--Tesla didn't respond to requests for comment, according to the report.
