Stellantis (STLA) said shareholders participating in the automakers' annual meeting on Tuesday voted to approve a 2 billion euro ($2.25 billion) dividend to be paid next month.

The upcoming distribution is equal to 0.68 euro per common share, or about $0.77 per share based on the euro-to-dollar exchange rate on April 14. It is payable on May 5 to shareholders of record on April 23.

The company also said that a majority of shares cast at its annual meeting on Tuesday were in favor of an advisory resolution regarding salaries and other equity incentives for executives.

Shares were down 0.2% in recent trading.
