Kinross Gold (KGC) said Tuesday it has temporarily suspended mill operations at its Tasiast mine in Mauritania due to a fire on Monday.

The fire has been extinguished and no injuries were reported, the company said, adding that an initial assessment shows that the fire was limited to the semi-autogenous grinding discharge area.

Kinross said it is not expecting to change its guidance for Tasiast.
