China Pauses Boeing Jet Deliveries as Trade Tensions Escalate, Bloomberg Reports, Citing Sources

--Beijing has ordered its airlines to stop taking further deliveries of Boeing jets in response to President Trump's steep tariffs on China, Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed sources.

--China has also asked the carriers to halt purchases of aircraft-related equipment and parts from U.S. companies, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

--Chinese authorities are also considering supporting airlines that lease Boeing planes and are facing higher costs, according to Bloomberg.

--The Civil Aviation Administration of China didn't respond to a Bloomberg request for comment. Representatives for China Southern, Air China and Xiamen Airlines also didn't respond to requests for comment. Boeing declined to comment.
