April 14 - (The Insurer) - Ryan Specialty’s Irwin Siegel Agency (ISA) has launched a new casualty and excess program that will be written on the AM Best A-minus rated paper of Bermudian (re)insurer SiriusPoint.
Rock Hill, New York-based ISA’s new program provides casualty and excess coverage to companies operating within social and human services including community action agencies, emergency and homeless shelters, job counselling and training centres, outreach programs.
ISA’s new offering is available exclusively through wholesale distribution.
“The launch of a new casualty and excess program will not only deliver innovative insurance and risk management solutions to a gap in the market, but will fill a distinct need in the human and social services space,” said Patrick Charles, head of North America insurance at SiriusPoint.
ISA is part of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers and has been in operation for almost 60 years.
The MGU's focus is on providing P&C insurance products and risk management solutions to human and social service organisations. It specialises in developmental disability organisations, addiction treatment, behavioural/mental healthcare and youth programs.
Shawn Yingling, Ryan Specialty National Programs’ CEO, said SiriusPoint has “a notable reputation” for individualised support in the MGA space, describing the carrier as “an optimal trading partner”.
“This new initiative will enhance our ability to remain focused on our one primary goal: to provide innovative insurance and risk management solutions to those serving our society’s most vulnerable,” said Yingling.
Launch of the new program comes shortly after ISA was drafted into a new practice group at Ryan Specialty.
Called Ryan Specialty National Programs, the new group brings together RSUM business units ISA, Suitelife Underwriting Managers and the programs from the existing National Programs platform that Ryan Specialty acquired with its 2020 All Risks Ltd transaction.
Ryan Specialty National Programs is led by Yingling as CEO.
Yingling joined RSUM in late 2024 as chief retail distribution officer, bringing over three decades of experience to the role. Prior to RSUM, Yingling was alternative channels distribution leader, North America general insurance at AIG.
