QXO (QXO) said Monday it is extending its $124.35-per-share tender offer to acquire Beacon Roofing Supply (BECN) through 5 pm ET on April 21.
Through QXO's previous deadline that expired on Friday, Beacon investors had tendered nearly 23.4 million of their shares, equal to about 37.6% of the building products company's outstanding shares.
The proposed transaction, which has been cleared by antitrust regulators in the US and Canada, is expected to close around the end of April, QXO said.
QXO shares added more than 1% in morning trade while Beacon shares were 0.2% higher.
