The sales of new energy vehicles in China jumped 47% to nearly 3.1 million units in the first quarter, Xinhua reported April 11, citing data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
NEV output soared 50% to 3.2 million units during the first three months of the year, the report said.
The automobile industry also recorded growth as sales rose 11% to 7.5 million units and production climbed 15% to 7.6 million units, the report said.
