BlockBeats News, April 18, according to TechFundingNews, the $500 billion Stargate AI infrastructure project led by OpenAI is considering expanding to Europe, with the UK, Germany, and France being the main candidates.

The project, initiated by OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle, has broken ground on its first large-scale data center in Abilene, Texas, USA. While the project's core remains focused on the US market, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated he is "very hopeful" to bring similar projects to Europe. European countries have responded positively, with the UK launching an AI Opportunity Action Plan, France securing over €100 billion in AI infrastructure commitments, and the EU also announcing simplified AI legislation to maintain competitiveness.
