BlockBeats News, April 18th, Manta Network co-founder Kenny Li recently revealed that he had experienced a highly sophisticated Zoom phishing attack, with the attacker suspected to be the North Korea-backed hacker group Lazarus. The attack involved the use of "highly deceptive" deepfake imagery in an attempt to lure him into downloading a malicious script file. Kenny Li stated that the attacker, during a Zoom meeting, impersonated a familiar team member, had their camera on but no sound, and prompted him to "update Zoom" by downloading a script file. Li, being cautious, immediately terminated the meeting and asked for identity verification through Telegram. Subsequently, the attacker deleted all chat records and blocked him. Additionally, ContributionDAO and other community members have reported similar encounters, including requests to download a specific "business version" of Zoom and refusal to use Google Meet, indicating that such attacks exhibit clear targeting and consistency.
