Chinese President Xi Jinping urged Asian nations to unite against "geopolitical confrontation" and protectionism during a visit to Malaysia, Reuters reported Wednesday.
The visit was part of a three-nation tour that also included Cambodia and Vietnam, according to the report.
Xi and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim saw the signing of 31 cooperation agreements across trade, tourism, agriculture and infrastructure, Reuters wrote. While no details were provided, Xi emphasized regional solidarity amid US tariff hikes and global tensions.
Anwar said China is a stable partner who remains an ally amid the global geopolitical upheaval, according to the report.
