FB Financial (FBK) was Smart Insider's stock pick of the week after the company's non-executive James Cross bought $292,000 worth of FB Financial's shares at $40.49 apiece on Wednesday, raising his ownership by 13%.
The purchase is a reversal from an "identically sized and very timely sale" at $58.22 per share in November, Smart Insider said in a note Tuesday.
"Since the reversal has occurred within a 6-month window, this appears to be a short-swing violation, and any profit on the trade will be forfeited to the company," the note added.
