Retail pre-orders for Nintendo's (TYO:7974) Switch 2 console are set to begin on Thursday, April 24, according to a statement last Friday.

Nintendo confirmed that the US launch price for the standalone console will remain $449.99, as initially announced on April 2. Similarly, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle will also retain its announced price of $499.99.

However, Nintendo has indicated that the prices of Nintendo Switch 2 accessories will be adjusted from the initial announcement on April 2 due to evolving market conditions.
