Korean Air Lines (KRX:003490) was named the preferred bidder for a 961.3 billion won project to upgrade 36 UH-60 "Black Hawk" helicopters, according to a Wednesday press release.

Partnering with aerospace manufacturer LIG Nex1 (KRX:079550) and Collins Aerospace, the airline will lead full-scale performance improvements of the helicopters, including cockpit digitalization, engine upgrades, and integration of survival and communication systems.
