China Display Optoelectronics Technology's (HKG:0334) sales increased about 50% to 1.39 billion yuan in the first quarter from 931.7 million yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Monday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

Mobile phone module sales rose 5.4% to 442 million yuan from 419.4 million yuan, the filing said.

Sales volume jumped 22% to 13.2 million units from 10.9 million units in the prior-year period, with mobile phone modules jumping 14% to 9.1 million units from about 8 million units, the filing said.
