Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) reported Tuesday group sales revenue of AU$283 million and underlying earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization of AU$126 million in the fiscal third quarter, compared with sales revenue of around AU$206 million and underlying operations EBITDA of around AU$93 million a year earlier.

The company produced 25,490 tonnes of total copper in the March quarter, up from 25,013 a year earlier, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing. Its production of total zinc during the period was 21,532 tonnes, up from the 18,526 tonnes produced in the March 2024 quarter, while that of total lead was 1,212 tonnes, falling from 1,408 tonnes produced during the same period a year earlier.

Total silver produced during the period jumped to 1.1 million ounces from 900,000 ounces.

The company increased the underlying operating cost guidance for its Matsa copper operations in Spain by 4% to AU$78 per tonne of ore processed for fiscal 2025 to primarily reflect unexpected strength in the euro-US dollar exchange rate. It expects a 2% reduction in the forecast throughput rate for the year.

Sandfire retained its group copper-equivalent production guidance of 154,000 tonnes for fiscal 2025.
