BCI Minerals Begins Full-Scale Operations at Western Australia Salt and Potash Project

BCI Minerals (ASX:BCI) said it began full-scale operations at its Mardie salt and potash project in Western Australia on April 15, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Water flowed into the evaporation ponds from the north and the south and it flowed into the crystallizers as well. During the March quarter, the primary seawater intake station delivered around 22.4 gigalitres of seawater over 349 hours of operation.

The construction of the salt first component of the project has progressed to a completion rate of 61% by the end of March. It progressed the engineering and design of the salt wash plant.
