0943 ET - Hilton Worldwide Chief Executive Chris Nassetta is more optimistic than many travel executives about the state of the industry. "This is not like Covid or the Great Recession," he told investors. The hotel chain upped its guidance for the year, contrasting with most airlines, which have withdrawn outlooks. It logged weaker bookings particularly in leisure travel during the later part of the first quarter and those are continuing into the second quarter, Nassetta said. But he expects demand to level out throughout the year as the country and world becomes accustomed to all the policy changes President Trump has passed in his first 100 days.
