LG Electronics (KRX:066570) and MediaTek unveiled a Concurrent Multi-User (CMU) framework for Android-based in-vehicle infotainment systems at Auto Shanghai 2025.
The CMU technology enables multiple passengers to independently use different displays, such as navigation, streaming, and gaming, on a single operating system, LG Electronics said in a Tuesday release.
This streamlines hardware requirements, lowers system load, and improves personalization with features such as user logins, Bluetooth pairing, and parental controls, the release said.
Shares of LG Electronics fell nearly 1% at market close on Wednesday.
