April 29 - (The Insurer) - HDI Global Insurance Company, the U.S. subsidiary of HDI Global SE, has hired executive underwriter Donna Yood to its new environmental liability product line.

Yood has over 15 years of experience in the industry. Most recently, she was an underwriting manager at James River, and held various roles at the company over 10 years. She also held roles at Ace Group and J Smith Lanier.

In her new role, Yood will aid the rollout and development of HDI’s U.S. environmental liability line.

"Her appointment accelerates our position and growth in the region and further facilitates broad market engagement," said Lindsay Judd, U.S. environmental liability lead for HGIC, adding that the new hire's expertise will help as "we launch our first excess product and continue to build out our U.S. team and capabilities".
