CNOOC (HKG:0883, SHA:600938) attributable profit fell 7.9% to 36.6 billion yuan in the first quarter from 39.7 billion yuan in the year-ago period, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share at the oil and gas company decreased 8.3% to 0.77 yuan from 0.84 yuan in the year-ago period.
Revenue declined 4.1% to 106.9 billion yuan from 111.5 billion yuan in the prior-year period.
