US equity futures were mixed pre-bell Tuesday as traders eyed a string of economic data.
Dow Jones Industrial Average futures gained 0.4%, S&P 500 futures slipped 0.1%, and Nasdaq futures were down 0.2%.
Investors are also looking ahead to earnings from Microsoft (MSFT), Meta Platforms (META), Apple (AAPL), and Amazon (AMZN) scheduled for release later in the week.
Oil prices were lower, with front-month global benchmark North Sea Brent crude down 1.5% at $63.85 per barrel and US West Texas Intermediate crude 1.4% lower at $61.16 per barrel.
US trade deficit, scheduled for release at 8:30 am ET, is seen narrowing to $142.8 billion for March from $147.85 billion in February, according to estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller home price index is due for release at 9 am ET.
Consumer confidence, slated for 10 am ET, is seen coming in at 87.7 in April versus 92.9 previously. Job openings based on the Labor Department's Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey is seen coming in at 7.49 million for March compared with 7.568 million in February.
