Alibaba Group (BABA) introduced Tuesday the Qwen3 upgrade for its artificial intelligence model featuring hybrid reasoning capabilities.
According to Alibaba, hybrid reasoning models combine traditional large language model capabilities with advanced, dynamic reasoning.
The new Qwen3 models can switch between non-thinking mode for general purpose responses and thinking mode for complex, multi-step tasks including mathematics, coding and logical deduction, Alibaba said.
Its flagship model is comparable in terms of coding, math and general capabilities with DeepSeek-R1, o1, o3-mini, Grok-3 and Gemini-2.5-Pro, the company said, adding all Qwen3 models are available for free download.
