Meitu Founder Cai Wensheng Invests HK$650 Million to Acquire Whole Building of Former Empress Theatre, to Build AI-Web3 Entrepreneurship Center

BlockBeats News, May 1st, according to the Hong Kong Business Daily, Meitu founder Cai Wensheng has acquired the entire building of PARK AURA in Tin Hau for about 650 million Hong Kong dollars. The property, completed in 2020, stands 25 stories tall (basement to 24th floor), with a single-floor area of about 2,041 square feet and a total gross floor area of about 53,000 square feet.

Cai Wensheng announced on social media that he plans to transform the building into an AI-Web3 startup hub: The 1st and 2nd floors will house an AI-themed cafe (similar to the Garage Cafe model) with a space for AI technology seminars. Some floors will be designated as AI-Space shared office areas, free for Hong Kong entrepreneurs to apply to use. The remaining floors will be planned as studios in the AI and Web3 fields.
