Exclusive: Corvus' CISO Rebholz leaving Travelers-owned insurtech

By James Thaler

May 1 - (The Insurer) - Corvus’ chief information security officer Jason Rebholz is leaving the Travelers-owned insurtech after four years with the company, marking the second notable cyber departure from Travelers this week, senior cyber sources told Cyber Risk Insurer.

Earlier this week, Cyber Risk Insurer exclusively reported that Travelers’ longtime cyber lead Tim Francis is joining Liberty Mutual as head of North America cyber.

Like Francis, Rebholz is a well-known figure in the cyber insurance community, serving as an advisor to NetDiligence and a regular speaker at cyber industry events. Rebholz is also active on social media where he regularly posts educational videos on information security topics.

Before joining Corvus in June 2021, Rebholz was co-founder and chief operating officer at incident response firm Moxfive. He has also worked at The Crypsis Group and Mandiant.

Travelers acquired Corvus at the start of 2024 in a transaction that valued the insurtech at $435 million.

Cyber Risk Insurer exclusively reported last month that Travelers is exploring a potential sale of Corvus’ European operations.

A spokesperson for Corvus did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
