Financial stocks advanced premarket Thursday with the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) 0.9% higher recently.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 2.4% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 2.1% lower.
Affiliated Managers Group (AMG) shares were nearly 7% after the company reported Q1 economic earnings that exceeded analysts' expectations.
Lincoln National (LNC) shares advanced nearly 2% after the company reported an increase in Q1 adjusted earnings.
Brookfield (BN) shares were up 0.1% after the company reported higher Q1 distributable earnings before realizations, while revenue declined.
