May 6 - (The Insurer) - Aon has appointed Amanda Lyons as CEO of its Reinsurance Solutions unit in Bermuda, the company announced on Tuesday.

The appointment is effective July 1 and subject to regulatory and immigration approvals.

Based in Bermuda, in her new role Lyons will be responsible for driving the growth of Aon’s reinsurance platform on the island, including continuing to increase the firm’s solutions, resources and talent following recent Bermuda appointments.

She will also work closely with Nick Moore, CEO of Aon Bermuda Limited to deliver access to capital across the firm's Risk Capital unit.

Lyons succeeds Roman Romeo, who resigned in October 2024 after just over a year in the role. As reported at the time, Romeo stepped down to join Acrisure Re Bermuda as president, an appointment that was confirmed last month.

Lyons will remain as global product leader for Aon Reinsurance Solutions, a position she assumed in May last year.

Prior to that, she served as U.S. casualty leader at Aon Reinsurance Solutions, with Aon announcing Anthony DiLorenzo as successor to this role last week.
