Boot Barn Holdings named John Hazen as chief executive officer, giving him the permanent role leading the retailer after having served as interim CEO since November.
Boot Barn Executive Chairman Peter Starrett said that the board unanimously decided to name Hazen to the position, effective Monday, after a comprehensive search process.
Hazen has been with Boot Barn since 2008, when he joined as chief digital officer. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of commerce and subscriptions at Ring and senior vice president of consumer at True Religion. He has also held leadership positions at Kellwood, Nike and Fox Racing.
In November, Hazen was named interim CEO of Boot Barn after Jim Conroy left the company to take the top job at Ross Stories.
Hazen will received a base annual salary of $900,000 and will continue to be eligible to participate in the company annual bonus program, with a target bonus of 100% of his salary, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
