BlockBeats News, May 5th, according to CoinDesk, Chainlink is launching a new community reward program to incentivize users to participate in its ecosystem, with the first round of rewards being distributed by the decentralized data platform Space and Time (SXT).
The program, named Chainlink Rewards, allows projects on the Chainlink network to distribute rewards to eligible node operators and community members to recognize their contributions to network security.
Space and Time has allocated 4% of its total SXT token supply (2 billion tokens) to participants in the Chainlink ecosystem, including LINK stakers. The first batch of 1 billion SXT tokens will be available for claiming starting on May 8th for eligible historical and existing LINK stakers.
Chainlink Rewards are expected to expand over time and may involve more Build partners in future reward seasons. While token distribution will be determined by each project separately, the overall goal of this program is to create new incentive mechanisms for users to stake LINK and participate more actively in the Chainlink network.
