Antares Metals (ASX:AM5) kickstarted the second phase of drilling at the Surprise copper project in Queensland, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The 1,500-meter reverse circulation drilling program aims to extend the footprint of the project's known mineral envelope, per the filing.
In the first phase of drilling, the mineral explorer struck 11 meters at 1.8% copper and 1.3 grams per tonne grade of gold from a depth of 68 meters, among other results.
