This quarter, analysts are expecting Lindblad Expeditions’s revenue to decline 1.5% year on year to $151.3 million, a reversal from the 7.1% increase it recorded in the same quarter last year. Adjusted loss is expected to come in at -$0.12 per share.
Analysts covering the company have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days, suggesting they anticipate the business to stay the course heading into earnings. Lindblad Expeditions has only missed Wall Street’s revenue estimates once over the last two years, exceeding top-line expectations by 5% on average.
Looking at Lindblad Expeditions’s peers in the travel and vacation providers segment, some have already reported their Q1 results, giving us a hint as to what we can expect. Hyatt Hotels posted flat year-on-year revenue, beating analysts’ expectations by 2%, and Carnival reported revenues up 7.5%, topping estimates by 0.9%. Hyatt Hotels traded up 9.2% following the results while Carnival was also up 1.1%.

Lindblad Expeditions is up 14.6% during the same time and is heading into earnings with an average analyst price target of $15.33 (compared to the current share price of $9.20).
