White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) said reverse circulation drilling at its Rae Copper Project in Nunavut, Canada, expanded copper and silver mineralization, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Drilling yielded 175 meters at 2.5% copper and 8.7 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of silver from 7.6 meters, including 14 meters at 7.6% copper and 25.8 g/t silver from 138 meters, the filing said.

The results validated its strategy to explore previously untested high-grade zones and deeper mineralization at the Danvers prospect, the filing added.

A maiden Joint Ore Reserves Committee compliant resource estimate is now planned, with follow-up diamond drilling to define mineralisation boundaries and test additional targets, the filing said.

Shares of the company rose 14% in recent Wednesday trade.
