* SHELL: Shell SHEL.L is evaluating a potential acquisition of BP BP.L , Bloomberg News reported on Saturday citing people familiar with the matter.
* ANGLO AMERICAN: Peabody Energy BTU.N said on Monday if issues involving Anglo American's AAL.L Moranbah North mine were not resolved, it may elect to terminate its pending deal.
* UNILEVER: Ben & Jerry's said on Friday that Nelson Peltz, board member of parent company Unilever ULVR.L, has increased his influence over the company.
* CO-OP: Co-op Group 42TE.L said on Friday hackers had accessed and extracted customer data from one of its systems.
* CYBERSECURITY: The British government will next week warn all UK companies to treat cyber security as an "absolute priority" in the wake of attacks on retailers.
* HSBC: HSBC HSBA.L on Friday announced the exit of the global head of sustainability at its asset management unit.
* RECKITT BENCKISER: A federal judge on Friday said she will allow expert testimony that formula made by Abbott Laboratories ABT.N and Reckitt Benckiser RKT.L subsidiary Mead Johnson can cause a fatal intestinal illness.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices rebounded over 1% and gold prices rose to a two-week high on concerns over U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff plans, while copper prices edged higher on signs of U.S.-China trade.
* The UK blue-chip index .FTSE closed up 1.2% on Friday as investors took heart from signs of easing global trade tensions.
