** This as bulls bask in breadth/thrust, as SPX and DJI clawed back much of their early Apr losses; in fact, the IXIC actually ended the month of Apr in positive territory

** Industrials .SPLRCI rise 4.3%. Top SPX performer Carrier CARR.N soars after profit beat, raised 2025 forecast on robust HVAC demand. CARR notches 19% weekly gain
** Communication Services .SPLRCL vault 4.2%. Facebook owner Meta Platforms META.O gains after Q1 rev beat dampens tariff-induced fears, Wall Street analysts see robust ad performance to remain supported by AI investments
** Tech .SPLRCT leaps 4%. AI server maker Super Micro SMCI.O dives on Weds after cutting qtrly outlook, dragging down chipmakers Nvidia NVDA.O and AMD AMD.O
However, on Thurs, Microsoft MSFT.O surges after strong growth forecast for Azure business, boosts other cloud-computing names, and AI stocks
But Apple AAPL.O stumbles as buyback cuts, tariff fears fan investor jitters

** Consumer Discretionary .SPLRCD up 1.6%. Amazon.com AMZN.O ticks down on Fri after Q1 cloud rev growth, income outlook disappoint
** Healthcare .SPXHC edges up 0.3%. Eli Lilly LLY.N falls after CVS Health CVS.N move to drop LLY's obesity drug Zepbound from reimbursement coverage, but keep reimbursing rival Wegovy after negotiations with Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk NOVOb.CO
** Energy .SPNY retreats 0.7%. Sector tumbles as crude prices extend losing skid amid global trade war O/R
On Fri, Chevron CVX.N posts lower Q1 profit, reduced buyback plans, while Exxon Mobil XOM.N reports Q1 profit beat, and on track to meet its buyback target
