Alliant Energy Corporation has announced plans for the Bent Tree North Wind Farm, a significant renewable energy project set to enhance the company's wind energy portfolio. Located across Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin, this project is expected to contribute over $100 million in tax revenue, landowner payments, and wages during its 30-year lifespan. Anticipated to begin construction in 2027, with operations starting by the end of 2028, the wind farm is projected to create 100 to 150 jobs during its construction phase. Pending approval from the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and the Wisconsin Public Service Commission, Alliant Energy aims to further its commitment to sustainable energy solutions, bolstering local economies while meeting growing energy demands.
