1617 ET - Among President Trump's concerns about Canada is how U.S. banks are not allowed to operate in the country. The Bank of Canada's Senior Deputy Gov., Carolyn Rogers, tells WSJ she was "perplexed" when she first heard of these concerns. "I thought maybe there was a misunderstanding," she adds, noting American banks -- like JP Morgan and Citibank -- are operating in Canada. Prior to joining the BOC, Rogers was a senior official at Canada's banking regulator and the Bank of International Settlements. Rogers says U.S. banks can enter Canada so long as they pass certain regulatory tests. (paul.vieira@wsj.com, @paulvieira)
