Mon Power and Potomac Edison, subsidiaries of FirstEnergy Corp., are offering a range of tips, tools, and programs to assist customers in managing their energy consumption and budgets, particularly during periods of high demand. As extreme weather conditions lead to increased energy usage, these subsidiaries aim to provide customers with greater control over their electric bills. Mon Power serves approximately 395,000 customers across 34 counties in West Virginia, while Potomac Edison caters to around 285,000 customers in Maryland and 155,000 more in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Jim Myers, President of FirstEnergy's West Virginia and Maryland operations, highlighted the company's commitment to helping customers manage energy costs amid changing seasonal demands.
