Red Star Macalline Group's (SHA:601828, HKG:1528) general manager and executive director, Che Jianxing, has been detained by the Yunnan Provincial Supervisory Committee and is undergoing an official investigation, a Tuesday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

As of Tuesday, the firm has not received a written Notice of Lien or Notice of Case Filing, nor has the Yunnan Provincial Supervisory Commission requested assistance with the investigation.

Chairman Li Yupeng will act as the company's general manager during the period of the investigation.

The furniture and home furnishing retail company will make further announcements as and when needed.
