State Street Names Sara Mathew Independent Lead Director

State Street has named Sara Mathew as the financial-services company's new independent lead director, effective immediately.

State Street on Thursday said Mathew, a retired chairman and chief executive of Dun & Bradstreet who joined the board in 2018, succeeds Amelia Fawcett, who held the post since 2019.

The Boston company said Fawcett, a board member since 2006, will remain a director.
