Keppel (SGX:BN4) and Huawei International agreed on a collaboration to jointly promote the adoption of photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems in Asia and other markets, according to a company release on Tuesday.

Under the partnership, the two companies will explore designing and developing new battery storage solutions for various projects.

The plan also includes setting up interconnected power grids across the region and low-carbon data centers.

One of the key aims is to utilize these energy solutions to reduce carbon intensity of identified projects, improve operational efficiency and economic performance.
