May 13 - (The Insurer) - Oak Re has added four senior staff to its ranks with the hires of Tom Dickson as president, Roland Morse as managing director for London, Karen Barker as credit underwriter and Deepon Sen Gupta as head of capital partnerships.

Dickson has joined Oak Re as president, innovation strategies and has arrived from New Energy Risk where he served as CEO. His arrival remains subject to UK visa approval.

Morse has moved to Oak Re from Guy Carpenter where he most recently served as a managing director within the reinsurance broker’s retro team, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Previously at Axis where she most recently served as a senior underwriter, Barker has joined Oak Re as a credit underwriter.

Sen Gupta has joined Oak Re as head of capital partnerships, and he has joined the startup having most recently served as global head of strategic advisory at Gallagher Re, his LinkedIn profile details.

London-based Oak Re launched at the beginning of this year, and underwrites business through Lloyd’s Syndicate 2843.

The new additions mean Oak Re’s headcount is now to close to 40, and the company said further hires are expected through the rest of 2025.
