Marimaca Copper (ASX:MC2) confirmed the high-grade oxide manto in the upper part of the sedimentary horizon consistent with the Pampa Medina deposit through drilling of hole SMD-01 in the MOD project in Chile, the company said in a statement Thursday.

Hole SMD-01, the first diamond drill hole for validation and depth-extension at Pampa Medina Norte discovery, was drilled to a final depth of 950 meters, with assays pending from 600 meters to the bottom, the company said.

Two more deep diamond drill holes are pending at Pampa Medina to explore the possibility of deep system extension, according to the statement.
