NetEase, Inc. reported its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2025. However, Youdao's net revenues decreased by 6.7% to RMB1.3 billion (US$178.9 million), and NetEase Cloud Music saw an 8.4% decline in net revenues, totaling RMB1.9 billion (US$256.1 million). Net income attributable to shareholders was RMB10.3 billion (US$1.4 billion), up from RMB7.6 billion in the same quarter of the previous year. Basic net income per share was US$0.45 (US$2.24 per ADS), an improvement from US$0.33 per share (US$1.64 per ADS) in the first quarter of 2024. Non-GAAP net income was RMB11.2 billion (US$1.5 billion), compared to RMB8.5 billion in the same period last year. CEO William Ding highlighted the strong performance of their latest games and the ongoing success of long-standing franchises, attributing this to innovative content updates and gameplay enhancements. He emphasized the company's focus on innovation and long-term operations, collaborating with top talent to deliver engaging experiences to a global audience.
