1201 ET - Cava CEO Brett Schulman says on CNBC that people still want to dwell at eateries. "We think the demise of the dining room is greatly exaggerated, " Schulman says. Screens and technology are disintermediating human connections in everyday life, and guests still want to find reasons and places to connect, Schulman says. It's why Cava is investing in Project Soul, a push to make its dining rooms more inviting and a more enjoyable experience for customers. Schulman gave a shout out to Tatte Bakery & Cafe, which has about 50 locations in the Northeast and Washington D.C. area, for their push in the "all-day-cafe" space. (roshan.fernandez@wsj.com)
