Brazilian Rare Earths Limited has announced a strategic partnership with SENAI CIMATEC, a prominent Brazilian research and educational institution, to jointly develop a laboratory and pilot plant facility in Bahia, Brazil. This collaboration aims to optimize rare earth beneficiation processes, advancing BRE's technical development capabilities. The facility will be located within the SENAI CIMATEC Industrial Development Park, strategically positioned near the Monte Alto Project and the Camaçari Petrochemical Complex. SENAI CIMATEC and partner organizations will fund approximately R$8.2 million, covering 58% of the project's total capital and operational expenditures. The partnership is expected to accelerate BRE's efforts to unlock the full potential of its rare earth assets, with commissioning of the facility anticipated for mid-2026. Further discussions are ongoing regarding the construction of a commercial-scale plant for processing rare earth concentrates into high-value products.
